I hope everyone is having a fantastic day! I wanted to talk to you guys about my favorite wireless speaker that I got for my birthday this past May! I have been using it all summer non-stop and it is so nice to have because I had no way of listening to music in my room other than on my laptop. I asked for a wireless speaker for my birthday and my parents were kind enough to buy me one! I am so grateful that they did because I did not want spend the money because was a bit pricey. I also wasn’t sure if it was something that I like “need” but ever since I got it I do not regret adding it to my birthday list. Like I said I got this back in May so I’ve had a couple months of using the wireless speaker. I usually use it when I am getting dressed, doing my makeup, or just chilling and reading. When I start school back up I am pretty sure I’ll be doing my homework while listening to music on my wireless speaker as well. I use it pretty often when I am having “me” time and I love having it so it’s not awkwardly silent in my room while I am working on these tasks. The Sony SRS-XB12 is super easy to use as well, you just turn on Bluetooth an you click the SRS-XB12 tab and it automatically connects to your device. I typically use my iPhone XR but it can connect to any device you wish. I also like that it is portable so you take it to the beach, the pool, or even a drive in movie theater! This has been so helpful for my summer activities because we are outside more often in the summer time.
Lets talk about its features: So it has a strap that you can carry it by or snap it to your backpack. The wireless speaker is dust and waterproof. Now I have not tried this out because that makes me nervous. If something were to spill on it I will update y’all on that if it works or not. The battery life lasts up to 16 hours which is true. I hardly charge this thing because mainly it stays in my room. When I am done I turn it off when I leave but it does last a whole day if you do end up using it all in one shot. It also has your typical volume, power, pause, and play buttons. The charging cord plugs in the back and it has a little cap so that you do not see the connector. I thought that was good idea so you do not see an ugly input. The last thing it has is that you are able to talk with speaker phone on it and it has voice assist function. Which is super cool because I can ask Siri about something and it will come through my wireless speaker.
Now, why did I buy this instead of an Alexa or Google mini? So, downstairs we have an Alexa that we share as a family. I usually get frustrated with her and you have to buy music through Amazon which I thought was kind of a rip off. I already have music downloaded on my phone and I do not see the point of buying more for a separate device. With the wireless speaker I can just go to my Pandora app and hit play. It is not that difficult and it is convenient enough for me. I always have my phone on me anyway so it is not like I need to yell at Alexa about playing a song. This is my personal experience. You may have ways that work better for you and that is ok!
